in God's own country...
How much enthusiasm would one get, when he finally gets into a trip which was 1 and a 1/2 years in planning? Hope you would get the picture!! Well, this is about a cool trip we made to Kerala. It got me so excited that i took a day extra leave just to savor the thought of going to the God's own country, and also made me crash onto a Traffic Sergeant who charged me some 200 bucks for not having some documents. Heck, I am going to the God's country and he's asking me road tax!!!
Somehow we managed to reach the railway station, had about an hour for the train. But still i couldn't believe that we had actually started this trip, for canceling it umpteen times. Took a sumptuous dinner, got it our compartments and yes we are on our way to the long cherished Kerala!!
The Next morning, we reached Aluva, Kerala, lucky enough to have a friend there who had booked the rooms for us and made everything ready. Had breakfast and started to Veegaland. The trip involved a ride on a wrecked bus to a small town from we had to take an auto. The auto dropped us near the gate, from where an Electric van picked and dropped at the grand main entrance. Nestled in a Hilly terrain dotted with lakes and lush green fields, Veegaland greets you in a Breezy, drizzling ambiance. To top it all, there was this gorgeous girl who was at the ticket counter. I got my tickets, but couldn’t resist the temptation of talking to her again, pretended that I didn’t know the route back to Aluva and she was kind enough to help me explaining for around ten minutes :-). The warmth of her smile still glitters up my tour memories…After all, God’s own country had to have its own share of angels!!!
We were a bit scared initially to climb on a few rides which were rotating in all possible angles, but with kids bravely jumping into it, we had to board it. Well it was pure fun finally. Then, rest of Veegaland is pretty much the normal theme park stuff; rides, food joints, pools and people roaming around half-dressed at best The Park gets its credit much for its location rather for its rides, also it’s clean and well maintained. When we finished up all the rides, it was six and everyone was softly getting nudged out of the park. We finally came to the idea of going back to room, got dressed back and came out. It was raining outside, had a cup of nice tea, caught the bus and reached Aluva. At last, some time to sleep and get ready for tomorrow, if today is fine, then tomorrow is gonna be a lot better.Hmm..we are heading to munnar..
